Properties for Aviator Buyers in the Carolinas
Whether you’re dreaming of a hangar home in a vibrant airpark community or scouting for a private runway retreat, you’re in the right place.
I specialize in airpark and airstrip properties across North and South Carolina, and I only list homes with direct runway access. I also help buyers explore all suitable properties—whether listed or not.
Almost every day, I research properties that may interest aviator buyers and post them here. These are all officially listed for sale through licensed agents or brokerages. Some listings are unique and unconventional; others meet a wide range of aviation needs. All are chosen with care and aviation in mind.

What Buyers Should Know
Airpark communities are the most popular choice, offering shared runway access and a sense of community. Some buyers prefer private runways or properties suitable for helicopters or aquatic aircraft.
Runway types vary—some are short for STOL aircraft, others are long enough for most private planes. Most are grass; a few are paved. Only two airparks in the Carolinas may approve personal jet aircraft on their runway.
Pricing depends on location, amenities, and community restrictions. Homes without hangars are typically lowest priced, but hangar construction can cost $300,000 or more, depending on size and finishes.
Unregulated runway properties may pose risks. I do not include these properties on my website, as buyers who invest in homes or hangars at such locations may later lose access to the runway or run into other problems. I can help buyers looking at unprotected properties understand what kinds of future problems they may encounter should they choose to pursue such a property.
Why Work with an Aviation-Savvy Agent?
Buying an aviation property involves more than choosing a home—it’s about understanding runway access, hangar design, community rules, and long-term protection. I help buyers evaluate each property with clarity and confidence, so your investment supports both your lifestyle and your aircraft.
If you see a property that interests you, I’d be happy to send detailed information and help you evaluate its suitability. Your next home isn’t just a place—it’s a runway to your future.
Real Estate Laws have changed, especially for buyers.
I probably have all you want to know about airpark properties that are for sale in North and South Carolina. I have plats, CCRS, bylaws, and other information you may want.
Effective August 17,2024, new real estate laws do not allow me to send any information to you without an agreement stating how I can work with you as an agent. In SC, the agreement is required to be in writing and signed. In NC, the agreement can be verbal until an offer is made.
